(KNZA)--An area man, convicted of crimes in both Brown and Atchison Counties, is going to prison.
32-year-old John Anderson, who gained widespread attention in late May for leading Atchison area law enforcement, along with the Kansas Highway Patrol, on a 90-minute cross-county pursuit, has been sentenced on numerous charges in the two counties.
In early September, Anderson was sentenced to nearly 3 years in Brown County on felony burglary and theft charges.
On Monday, it was Atchison County's turn, with Anderson ordered to spend around 4 years in prison on charges stemming from three separate cases, including flee and elude, possession of meth, interference with a law enforcement officer, and felony theft.
According to court documents, the sentences are to run consecutively.
