The Commission took the action Monday following a hearing drawing no public comment.

The budget contains an estimated tax rate of 52.965 mills, which is to generate nearly $6.9 million.

In other business, Sheriff Rich Vernon informed commissioners he had received six applications for the vacant sheriff’s deputy position.

Vernon said he interviewed all six applicants, and will announce the selection of the new deputy at next week’s meeting.
