(KNZA)--A Valley Falls man is dead following a single vehicle early Sunday morning rollover wreck on Highway K-4 in Jefferson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says it happened around 1:15, a mile south of Valley Falls, when 40-year-old John Aspinwall was behind the wheel of a northbound Nissan pick-up truck that left the roadway and drifted onto the gravel shoulder. Aspinwall overcorrected, sending the truck back onto the roadway where it slid sideways, entered the east ditch and overturned around four times.
The Patrol says Aspinwall was not buckled up at the time of the fatal crash.
The Barnett Family Funeral Home in Oskaloosa is handling the preliminary arrangements.
