(KAIR)--A Lancaster man, arrested earlier this month on charges including meth possesion, has agreed to a plea deal.
22-year-old Michael Chatman appeared in Atchison County District Court Friday morning and pled guilty to one count of possession of methamphetamine. In exchange for the plea, the charges of possession of stolen property and driving while suspended were dropped.
Sentencing has been set for October 10th.
Chatman was arrested August 7th after Atchison police stopped him for a traffic violation. Investigators say the motorcycle Chatman was driving was reported stolen from Lawrence last November. Methamphetamine was also found in his possession at the time of the arrest.
