(KLZA)-- A scrap tire cleanup event is scheduled for Saturday August 16th and again on the 23rd in Auburn and in Johnson.
In Auburn the tires will e collected at the District 2 Nemaha County Road Department Shop and in Johnson the collection point will be at 409 Mulberry Street. Hours will be from 8 a-m until noon each day.
The event is sponsored by Nemaha County and the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality.
The clean up events are open to all Nemaha County residents. All tires must be from residents and be off rims. Businesses and tire retailers who collect a fee for scrap tires are not eligible to bring in tires for disposal.
