(KAIR)--The Atchison County Commission is considering possible policy changes at the County Lake located in rural Horton.
County Counselor Patrick Henderson presented a resolution to the Commission during a recent meeting that would place limits on hunting, trapping, and fishing at the lake.
Commission Chair Jeff Schuele says that the current policy allows activities such as hunting and fishing during certain times of the year. However, it does get a bit more stringent on what can and can't be allowed, such as when and how people can camp.
Schuele says the new resolution would clarify and organize the lake's rules into one clear policy.
The Commission will now review the proposed resolution and gather feedback from the public before revisiting the issue in about thirty days.
