(KAIR)--Atchison's Warnock Lake remains under warning status due to the presence of toxic blue green algae.
The lake is one of seven in the state that the Kansas Department of Health and Environment says should be avoided for swimming and other activities where physical contact is made with the water.
However, fishing and boating are not off limits at the affected lakes.
Pets should be kept away from the water as well.
Lake Warnock has been affected by the toxic blue green algae since temperatures warmed up in May.
