(KLZA)-- The Southeast Nebraska Community Action Food Pantry is currently out of, or very short on a number of items. The food pantry serves all of Richardson County.
Melissa Hardenberger from the Falls City SENCA office says that summer is a difficult time to keep up with the needed food supplies since a large amount of their donations come from schools.
Items needed include farm fresh eggs; bread and meat. Non-perishable food items needed include canned meat and tuna; box dinners, mac-n-cheese; helper meals, canned pasta, microwavable meals; breakfast foods, both hot and cold, dry milk, pasta, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, jelly, instant potatoes and juice.
In addition to food items the SENCA Food Pantry also provides personal care items such as shampoo, conditioner, formula, baby food, diapers and baby wipes.
Cleaning items such as dish soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, Clorox, and bathroom and kitchen cleaners are also needed.
Anyone that can help re-supply the Food Pantry may drop off donations at the Richardson County Courthouse at room 103.
