Richardson County Board Reviews Architects Proposal

(KLZA)-- Richardson County Commissioners reviewed an agreement presented by Prochaska & Associates for architectural services for the construction of the proposed Richardson County Law Enforcement Center when they met Tuesday.

The 24-page document was reviewed but no action taken.  The Board will give further consideration to an agreement with the firm when they meet next week. 

Beckie Cromer presented the second quarter EDGE report and presented a request for the continued annual funding of the economic development group from Richardson County in the amount of $25,000. Commissioners will consider the funding request during completion of the budget for the next fiscal year. 

Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert reported progress on getting the Verdon Northwest bridge project ready for construction.  Commissioners did approve the documents for acquisition of the right-of-way from landowners involved in the Stella Southeast bridge project.

Sheriff Randy Houser presented an advertisement for the solicitation of bids for providing jail meals.  Bids will be accepted through August 8th. Specifications for the meals are available from the Sheriff’s Office.

Commissioners took no action on a request from Sheriff Houser to consider purchasing a patrol unit from the state bid contract.
