Falls City Grant Application First Step in Phase II of Downtown Revitalization
(KLZA)-- The Falls City, City Council approved a contract on a $6,500 Community Development Block Grant from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development when they met Monday night. City Administrator Gary Jorn says this is the first step toward receiving a $350,000 grant for the next phase of the Downtown Revitalization project.
The funds will be used to reevaluation the current revitalization plan that is in place.
The City is required to put up $1,700 as part of the grant requirements.
The grant will be administered by the Southeast Nebraska Development District. Their fee will be $1,500.
Public hearings and surveys will likely be taking place later this fall as part of the process.
