Mound City School Board Approves Handbooks
07/21/2014

(KLZA)-- The Mound City Board of  Education last week awarded bids to provide milk and bread to the school district for the 2014-15 school year.  Hiland Dairy will provide milk products and Graves Company was awarded the bread bid.

Legislative candidates Kathy DeVault and Allen Andrews introduced themselves to the Board.  The preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, student activities, staff handbooks and computer user agreements and activity guidelines were approved for the upcoming school year.
Superintendent Ken Eaton reported one bus with a minor infraction during the Marcy inspections.  He also noted the retaining wall in the back playground has moved approximately 9-inches and separated from the new concrete and engineers with the levy building project are working on solutions.
Superintendent Eaton also ran figures on the school vans usage and says the numbers indicate the vans have saved the district money.
