(KNZA)--A new Vice-Chair for the Libertarian Party of Kansas.
Topeka resident Sharon DuBois accepted to fill the role July 13th.
The position became vacant in May when two-term State Chair Al Terwelp stepped down, citing health issues.
Then Vice-Chair Rob Hodgkinson took over the top position, clearing the way for DuBois to step into the vacant seat.
DuBois has long been active with the state Libertarian party, joining in 2004.
She serves as editor of the quarterly official LPKS publication, “The Free Kansan,” and regularly serves as a Kansas delegate to the Libertarian Party's National Convention.
DuBois, in a press release, says her primary goals are to continue the long-term goal of forming a local Libertarian Party group in each of the state's 105 counties, and the Gubernatorial campaign of Libertarian candidate Keen Umbehr.
