(KAIR)--The Atchison Police Department is investigating three different vehicle burglaries that took place in the city over a span of two days, with two of the three possibly connected.
According to Chief Mike Wilson, two of the burglaries took place sometime Wednesday night. The first occurred in the 900 block of Kansas Avenue, in which a briefcase and miscellaneous items were taken, and the second in the 1400 block of Atchison Street in which a car stereo was removed from the vehicle. Wilson says it is possible these two cases could be related.
The third incident took place in the 300 block of North Fourth Street sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Wilson says a car stereo was removed from this vehicle as well.
Police do not have any details on who may have taken part in these burglaries, but the search for leads continues.
