(KNZA)--An additional candidate has filed for the position of 1st district Doniphan County Commissioner.
W. Brett Neibling of Highland is the latest candidate to seek the position and the first to file for the Democratic nomination.
Three candidates are seeking the Republican nomination—Bill Becker, H. James Ruhnke and Matthew Dunn.
The position is currently held by David Van Laar who isn’t seeking re-election.
The position is the only Doniphan County office up for election this fall.
Candidates have until noon, June 2nd to file. The primary election is August 5th, and general election is November 4th.
