(KAIR)--A single vehicle wreck in Atchison County early Saturday morning sent a Winchester man to the hospital.
According to Atchison County Sheriff Jack Laurie, 24-year-old Gregory Campbell was traveling south on Ottawa Road just after 4:00 when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer, went off the right side of the road, and hit a fence and an embankment.
Laurie adds that it is believed that alcohol may be a factor in the wreck.
Campbell was transported by Atchison County EMS to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph for treatment of minor injuries.
