(KMZA)--A 13-year-old Marysville boy, who died last week from injuries received in a two-vehicle wreck earlier this month was laid to rest Thursday.
Hunter Mayfield died last Thursday at a Lincoln, Nebraska hospital from injuries received in the April 10th wreck at the intersection of U.S. 36 and K-148 in Washington County. He was a passenger in a car driven by his 19-year-old brother, Chris Mayfield, that entered the intersection and was struck by a semi. Chris Mayfield and another passenger, 14-year-old Jessica Larabee, were also injured in the wreck. The semi driver wasn’t hurt.
Hunter Mayfield was a 7th grader at Hanover Junior High School. He and his family recently moved to Marysville from Hanover.
Mayfield was laid to rest in the Marysville City Cemetery after services were held Thursday morning at the Hanover High School gym.
