(KNZA)--A 69-year-old man is dead following a double vehicle Pottawatomie County crash Sunday afternoon.
Sheriff Greg Riat identifies the victim as Clay Center resident Don Collette who was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital following the crash.
The wreck happened just minutes after 2:00, in rural Onaga, on Highway 16, east of Lincoln Road.
Collette was westbound on the highway when his van crossed into the east bound lane, where it collided with an eastbound pick-up truck.
The truck's driver, 65-year-old Trimble, Missouri resident Timothy Taylor was not hurt, but his wife, the only passenger in the truck, was transported for the treatment of unspecified injuries.
The investigation into the fatal wreck is continuing.
