(KAIR)--Atchison County is no longer under a burn ban.
Due to the rainfall this week, the Atchison County Emergency Management Department has decided to lift the ban.
It was put in place, along with those in neighboring counties, due to recent dry and windy conditions.
However, that has now changed, with plentiful rain, including that which accompanied heavy area thunderstorms overnight Wednesday into Thursday, alleviating the formerly dry conditions.
