(KAIR)--A Winchester man was taken into custody Friday in connection with an alleged case of theft and disorderly conduct in Atchison.
Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson says it happened late Friday night when 36-year-old Jaime Goodman reported there was someone lurking outside of her South 4th Street home. She heard something on the porch, but when she attempted to turn on the light, she discovered that the bulb had been removed. When officers arrived on scene, they checked the area around the residence, and discovered 39-year-old Charles Baisch hiding just south of the home.
Baisch was immediately arrested.
Goodman, who is an acquaintance of Baisch, told police he had visited her the day before and took a financial card from her residence.
Baisch was transported to the Atchison County Jail where he faces charges of theft and disorderly conduct.
