(KLZA) -- The Falls City Volunteer Fire Department was called to 2606 Schoenheit Saturday morning shortly before 7. Brandon Coupe reported a fire in the garage of the residence.
Fire Chief Ken Simpson believes the fire started when rags stuffed onto a shelf combusted causing the fire. Fire damage was contained to the garage.
A dozen Volunteer Fire Department members and six Falls City Rural Fire Department members responded to the fire call.
