(KNZA)--Hiawatha City Commissioner Bill Collins has filed for re-election to another three-year term.
Collins, who serves as Commissioner of Finance, is the first candidate to file for two seats up for election in April 2014.
Collins has served on the commission since April 1993.
Also up for election is the position of Commissioner of Police, currently held by Dr. Steffen Shamburg.
Candidates have until noon, January 21st to file at the Hiawatha City Hall.
The general election is Tuesday, April 1st.
