(KLZA) -- A former Falls City resident died in a house fire early Tuesday morning in Shiprock, New Mexico.
According to the Farmington, New Mexico Daily Times, 51-year-old Scott Schwarting, a teacher and athletic director for the Central Consolidated School District, was found inside the duplex where he lived.
Fire and rescue personnel responded to a fire at the duplex in an area that housed Central Consolidated School District teachers and administrators.
When firemen arrived on the scene, the fire was active and a search and rescue operation was conducted. Schwarting was found in the main living area of the home and firemen believe that is where the fire originated.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. There were no indications of foul play.
The Desert View Funeral Home in Ship Rock, New Mexico is in charge of the pending funeral arrangements for Scott Schwarting.
