Slick Streets Blamed for Injury Accident in Humboldt
12/11/2013

(KLZA) -- Slick streets contributed to an injury accident in Humboldt Sunday morning.

Vehicles driven by 47-year-old Eugene Volker of Humboldt and 25-year-old Kayleigh Pedersen of Lincoln collided at the intersection of 5th and Longbranch.

The Volker vehicle was south bound on Longbranch.  Pedersen was westbound on 5th Street and slid through the STOP sign and hit the Volker vehicle in the rear panel of the drivers side.

Pedersen was transported to the Pawnee County Memorial Hospital by Humboldt Rescue with a possible but non-visible neck injury.

Each vehicle sustained an estimated $1,000 in damage.  No citations were issued.

Deputy Sheriff Josh Nincehelser investigated the accident.
