(KNZA)--An area newspaper publisher has pleaded guilty to amended charges in a sexual battery and phone harassment case.
55-year-old Dana Foley, of Wathena, recently entered the plea in a Doniphan County courtroom to three misdemeanor charges--battery, assault, and harassment by telephone.
Foley was given a suspended jail sentence and placed on 12 months probation. As part of the terms of his probation, Foley was ordered to serve 48 hours in jail, which he began Wednesday.
Foley had originally been charged in March by the Kansas Attorney General office with five counts of sexual battery and three counts of harassment by telephone.
The offenses were alleged to have occurred between June 2008 and October 2011 involving three individuals.
