(KNZA)--A decade in prison.
That’s the fate of a 46-year-old Holton man following his guilty plea in August arising from a child sex case.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says James Michael Baxter was sentenced Friday to the ten year prison sentence along with 60 months of post release supervision. He will also be placed on the sex offender registry list for 25-years following his release from prison.
Baxter pleaded guilty in August to an amended complaint of one count of electronic solicitation of a child and two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
He was arrested in late April following the execution of a search warrant at a 262nd Road residence. It was there that authorities seized computers connected to their investigation into the distribution of child pornography
