(KAIR)--Curiosity may not kill the cat, but it can lead to an arrest as an Effingham man found out the hard way.
The Atchison County Sheriff's department reports that 21 year old Michael Lundsford was taken into custody Thursday after it was found that he had allegedly been spying on his neighbor in an Effingham apartment complex, located at 209 9th St.
Lundsford allegedly gained access to the attic of the complex, made his way to the victim's apartment, and drilled holes in her ceiling to look through. In the process, he fell through the ceiling in his own apartment. Maintenance personal noticed the damaged and called authorities. He faces charges of eavesdropping, stalking, criminal trespass, and criminal damage to property.
He remains confined on a $10,000 bond.
