(KAIR)--The step-son of Atchison native and famed aviatrix, Amelia Earhart, has died.
George Palmer Putnam, Jr. was 92.
According to The Palm Beach Post, Putnam died Saturday afternoon at his home in Boynton Beach, Florida.
The retired director of Crayole crayons manufacturer Binney and Smith was the son of publisher, author and explorer George Putnam who married Earhart in February 1931.
