Senator Jerry Moran
(MSC News)--United States Senator Jerry Moran is currently in opposition to military actions in Syria.
The Kansas Republican says he will not support such action at this time, as America can't afford another conflict that taxes resources without achieving goals that advance American interests.
Moran commented following President Obama's announcement that he will seek Congressional authorization on the matter.
Kansas Republican Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins earlier issued a similar response.
On Wednesday, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee voted 10-7 to approve a military strike. The full Senate's vote is expected next week.
