Southeast Community College Holding Forums as Part of Search for New Leader

 (KLZA) -- In anticipation of Dr. Jack Huck’s retirement in June 2014, the presidential search is underway at Southeast Community College.

Public forums are scheduled Aug. 21-22 to provide the opportunity for everyone to share their thoughts on the challenges and opportunities facing SCC’s next president, along with the qualities and characteristics SCC is seeking in the next president.

The public forums are designed to solicit feedback which will assist with the development of the presidential profile.

The public forums are scheduled for Wednesday, August 21st on the Beatrice Campus from 11 a-m until noon in the Jackson Hall Conference Room.

At the Lincoln Campus that afternoon from 2-3 p.m., Room V-103. The Lincoln Campus is located at 8800 O St., Lincoln.

Forums will be held Thursday, August 22nd from 11 a-m until noon in the Dunlap Center Rooms A and B on the Milford Campus, located at 600 State St., in Milford.

Then Thursday evening on the Lincoln Campus 6:30-7:30 p.m., Room V-103.

The forums are open to everyone and will be facilitated by Julie Golder, J.D., search services coordinator for the Association of Community College Trustees. SCC’s Board of Governors approved the selection of ACCT to conduct the presidential search for the College.

All members of the College community and SCC’s 15-county service area are invited to participate in a free and wide-ranging discussion about the qualities and qualifications SCC is seeking in its new president.
