(KTNC) - The Pawnee City Council is expected to approve the final reading of an amended water rate ordinance when they meet this evening. The council meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
The council will vote on the final reading of the amended water rate ordinance. That would set the water rate at $24.50 for a three-quarter inch main, effective October first. The base rate would then be adjusted by at least 50-cents each year through 2016.
In other business tonight, the council will consider a resolution approving designating the area in front of SENCA and Nider’s Thriftway as a no parking zone. The area would be a loading and unloading zone only.
Another resolution to be considered would set the amount the Airport Authority could borrow for an upcoming project.
Suzanne Borcher, with the Citizen Advisory Board, is scheduled to present the P-C-D-C audit. Sheriff Jayme Reed will meet with the council regarding a horse issue on G Street. The council will discuss traffic speed in the South Park area. And the council will consider approving the Handi-Bus agreement with the county.
