(KTNC) - Two men were injured in an accident near Maitland late Saturday night. The accident happened on Missouri Route 113, a half mile south of Maitland at 11:00 p.m. Saturday night.
According to the Missouri State Patrol, 39-year-old Randy Christian of Burlington Junction lost control of his pickup as he was driving eastbound on Route 113. The pickup went off the south side of the roadway and Christian overcorrected, causing the truck to veer off the north side of the highway.
Both Christian and a passenger in the truck, 40-year-old Fred Murphy of Maryville, were taken by ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph with moderate injuries.
