(KAIR)--Local volunteers are seeking the public’s help in the form of hay donations to the Soaring Hope Equestrian Center, located on the outskirts of St. Joseph.
The center is a faith based non-profit organization that uses horses to provide therapy to at-risk youth and those who are physically, mentally, and emotionally challenged.
Volunteer Coordinator Larry Schuetz says those wishing to donate hay may do so by bringing it to the sale barn in Atchison on August 17th.
Scheutz says someone will be at the sale barn to unload the bales, and that receipts will be available for income tax purposes.
He also encourages people to go to the equestrian center to view the horse therapy sessions.
