(KLZA) Elizabeth Chase, Director of the Nebraska Main Street Program, was in Falls City Tuesday to present the 2012 Main Street Awards to local recipients and attend the Downtown Revitalization Ribbon Cutting.
Chase began the program held at the Grand Weaver Hotel by explaining this year awards are being presented in local communities. ( play audio :16 seconds )

Main Street Falls City has been accredited for two consecutive years.
Tony Brunette, President of the Main Street organization in Falls City addressed those in attendance and asked for continued volunteer support of the organization. ( play audio :31 seconds )

Chase also presented an Award to the City of Falls City for being named the Outstanding Public Partner in Nebraska for 2012. ( play audio :52 seconds )

Main Street Falls City was also honored for prompt monthly reporting and Hoot-N-Annies was named the Main Street Business of the Year.
During the ceremony individuals, businesses and organization were recognized for their donations to Main Street Falls City.
