Wet Spring Delaying Preston Road Project
06/12/2013

(KLZA) The long awaited Preston Road surfacing project has hit another delay.  Work on the 4-mile stretch of Road beginning at the intersection with Highway 159 and going south has been delayed due to weather.

Dobson Brothers, the company awarded the bid to put down the 8-inch concrete surface has been delayed on some of the projects they have been working on due to wet weather this spring.

Richardson County Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert says it should only take 45-50 days to complete the project once they get started.  Hopes are to have the project underway in July.
