Baileyville Man to Stand Trial on Multiple Child Sex Charges

 ( KMZA )-A Baileyville man will stand trial on multiple child sex charges.

43-year-old Eugene Dale Ackerman waived his preliminary hearing Tuesday and was bound over to Nemaha County District Court on nine felony counts.
Arraignment was scheduled for June 27th.

Ackerman is charged with three counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, two counts of indecent solicitation of a child along with one count each of lewd and lascivious behavior and criminal threat.

He was arrested in March following an investigation by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department.

According to court documents, the alleged incidents occurred in June 2010 and involved two children under the age of 14.

Ackerman remains in the Nemaha County Jail on one million dollars bond.
