(KTNC) - Associate Professor of Business, Dr. Sheri Grotrian-Ryan, has been named Peru State College’s 2013 Teacher Excellence Award winner.
Dr. Grotrian-Ryan will be honored during the college’s graduation ceremony at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4th.
The Teacher Excellence Award is given annually to one full-time faculty member at each of Nebraska’s three state colleges – Peru, Wayne, and Chadron. Recipients of the campus award are finalists for the Nebraska State College System’s George Rebensdorf Teaching Excellence Award.
Dr. Grotrian-Ryan joined the Peru State College faculty in 2006 and currently instructs courses in the School of Professional Studies and Graduate Programs. In addition to teaching, she is a faculty advisor for Phi Beta Lambda, a business and leadership organization.
Outside of teaching, she has been managing editor for the “Human Resource Development Review” journal, and has helped with the publication of the National Council of Instructional Administrators’ “Exemplary Initiatives.”
Dr. Grotrian-Ryan received a Bachelor’s degree from Peru State College in business administration, and earned an MBA and Ph.D from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
