(KLZA) The Humboldt – Table Rock – Steinauer School Board had a busy meeting this week.
Board members approved the expenditure of $83,882, for a new school bus. Superintendent Clint Kimbrough comments. ( play audio :14 seconds )
Board members also approved having the transportation department at the school look for a used pickup to purchase for the district.
Board members have been reviewing a report sent to them about the cracks discovered in a gymnasium wall at the Humboldt site. Superintendent Kimbrough said an architect and an engineer from Lincoln have come up with proposals to fix the problem. ( play audio :37 seconds )
In other business HTRS Board members discussed a policy for posting meeting notices, the HVAC system at the Table Rock building as well as the proposed fitness center and some concrete and sidewalk projects in the district.
Superintendent Kimbrough noted the Board also accepted one resignation. ( play audio :21 seconds )
Additions to the 2013-14 school calendar were reviewed and the Board approved the Superintendent offering contracts for next year to the current teachers in the district.
