(KAIR) -- Irregularities found in the tally for the Ozawkie Mayor race found during the Jefferson County Commissioner canvass Monday leads to a recount.
Clerk Linda Buttron said a clerical error occurred in the tabulation reports when test ballot results were uploaded for six precincts.
The board then voted to remove those results from the tabulation report.
Buttron also found irregularities in the write-in tally.
As of now, Incumbent Steve Stanton has 50 votes while write-in candidate Mark Larson has 53.
The board will recess canvassing until 12:15 Monday afternoon to allow for the recount.
