( KMZA )-A Seneca man convicted of indecent solicitation of a child has been placed on probation.
David Hobbs was sentenced Thursday in Nemaha County District Court to 26 months in prison on the charge. However, the sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 24 months.
Hobbs pleaded no contest last month to the amended charge as part of a plea agreement. He had originally been charged with aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
In exchange for the plea, two counts of criminal sodomy were dismissed.
Hobbs was arrested in December following an investigation by the Sabetha Police Department.
