(KTNC) - Area youngsters will be on the prowl this weekend – for Easter Eggs! Several Easter Egg Hunts are planned in area communities, mostly on Saturday.
In Falls City, Carriage Estates will host an Easter Egg Hunt for children up to age 10 at two o’clock Saturday afternoon. The Good News Assembly of God Church, at 6th and Reavis in Falls City, will have an Easter Egg Hunt, also for children up to age 10, at 11:00 a.m. Saturday.
The Humboldt Chamber of Commerce will hold an Easter Egg Hunt, for children up to eight years of age, in the City Square Park at 10:30 Saturday morning. If it rains, the event will be moved to the Powell Livestock Pavilion south of the Ag Building.
The Pawnee City Library and Rotary Club are teaming up to sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt on the Courthouse lawn in Pawnee City, at 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
An Easter Egg Hunt in DuBois, sponsored by the DuBois Community Club, also starts at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Methodist Church basement.
The Steinauer Community Club will sponsor a hunt at 1:30 Saturday afternoon in the park.
The Table Rock Community Club is also sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt. It begins at 1:00 p.m., with snacks and games at the Legion Hall before moving to the park for the hunt.
In Johnson, the Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the school beginning at 10:00 a.m. Saturday. In the event of inclement weather, the hunt will be held in the school gymnasium.
Kids in pre-school through age 10 can participate in an Easter Egg Hunt in Auburn at 10 o’clock Saturday morning. The event is sponsored by the Auburn American Legion and Peru VFW, and will be held at Legion Park in Auburn. In case of bad weather, the hunt will be held in the Legion Building at 9th and I Streets.
If you miss that hunt, another will be held in Auburn at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, at Longs Creek Village, located at 1322 U Street. That is open to kids 10 years of age and under.
