(KAIR) -- A St. Joseph woman was injured following a three vehicle accident near a narrow bridge on U.S. 59 highway outside of Saint Joseph.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says it occurred at Banker’s Crossing, three miles south of St. Joseph just after 10 Thursday morning.
All vehicles were southbound on 59 when a pickup driven by Gregory Pickett of Lengton, Kansas, who was towing a farm implement, stopped in the roadway.
A car driven 30-year-old Amber Cindrich attempted to avoid hitting the stopped vehicle when a semi driven by 31-year-old Paul Evans of Burlington Junction, Missouri struck the car in the rear, which then ran into the implement.
The car came to rest blocking the northbound lane, while the other two blocked the southbound lane, causing less than an hour delay.
Cindrich was transported by ambulance to the Heartland Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
The patrol says all three drivers were wearing seatbelts.
