(KMZA)--The death of a 77-year-old rural Corning man remains under investigation.
Nemaha County Sheriff Rich Vernon says the sheriff’s office responded to report of a missing person late Sunday evening in the southern part of the county.
When deputies arrived, Vernon said they spoke with family members of Wendell " Bunk" McLaughlin who said he was missing and they were unable to find him.
Following a short search, Vernon said deputies found McLaughlin dead.
Services for McLaughlin will be held Friday morning at 10:30 at the Centralia United Methodist Church.
