03/13/2013

(KTNC) - The Peru State College Rotaract Club will host a fundraiser Friday night to benefit an organization that provides health care to people in the African nation of Cameroon.
Dr. Dennis Richardson founded the BAWA Health Initiative seven years ago.  It is a non-governmental organization that aims to reduce the prevalence of endemic diseases in and around the village of Bawa, Cameroon.
Dr. Richardson spoke about the Initiative last year as part of Peru State College’s Distinguished Speaker Series.
The public is invited to attend Friday’s fundraiser, which will be held at the River In Resort in Brownville, beginning at 7:00 p.m.  The evening will feature music by the local band Sum Guise, and refreshments will be served.  Free will donations will be accepted
