(KAIR) -- There's Interest in the construction of an archery range in the Atchison community.
According to Park Superintendent Clinton McNamee, the idea was proposed to the Park Board last month and the board instructed him to see what kind of feedback he could get from the public.(Play Audio)
McNamee says potential locations will be discussed at Monday’s evening’s meeting, which begins at six at the Upper Floor Conference Room at City Hall.
He adds other issues, such as liability and the legalities of firing weapons of any sort in city limits may also be discussed.
Under current ordinance, it is illegal to discharge archery equipment within the city limits.
