( KMZA )-A bid has been accepted for the construction of an addition to the Seneca city shop building.
The Seneca City Council Wednesday evening accepted the low bid from AHRS Construction of Bern for construction of the 100-by 80-foot addition at a cost of $214,350.
Bids were received from 4 companies.
The addition is needed because the current city-owned Quonset building is being removed to make way for the extension of Branch Street.
In a related matter, the council set a March 29th bid opening date for the Branch Street Extension project and accompanying US 36 improvements.
The council hopes to begin the project by May 1st.
