(KAIR) -- Atchison Public School students won’t have to worry about school starting in the same time frame as the Atchison County Fair.
The USD 409 board Monday night approved the 2013-14 calendar, which will have school start later than last year.

That’s Superintendent Susan Myers.
She says the board also approved finalizing a committee on hiring a replacement for retiring Elementary School Principal Noel Rueb.
The committee will screen the 25 to 30 applicants that have applied and aim to make a hire by the April board meeting.
The new principal will begin working with the district July 1st.
