(KAIR) -- A new business consisting of small shops individually owned and operated opened Friday in a historic location on the Commercial Street mall in downtown Atchison.
Gateway to Kansas is located in the former Ball Brothers Drugstore building.
Manager Susan Turnbull says the historical location is the reason they purchased the building.

Turnbull says some of the small shops featured will feature items unique to the buyer.

She says the 10 large booth spaces available were spoken for quickly, but they still have other spaces for individual vendors.

Gateway to Kansas is open Monday through Friday from 10 until 5:30 and Saturday’s from 10 until five.
