( KNZA )-The duo accused of second degree murder in the January shooting death of a Mayetta man have been brought back to Kansas to face charges.
Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office transported Lloyd Wabaunsee and Desiree Shopteese back to Kansas from the Polk County Jail in Des Moines, Iowa Sunday.
Both waived extradition last week to Kansas following the issuance of warrants in January for the January 10th shooting death of Kevin Stanley in Mayetta.
Wabaunsee and Shopteese were apprehended Janaury 17th in Urbandale, Iowa, where they were found hiding in the trunk of a car in a grocery store parking lot.
Shopteese is being held in the Jackson County Jail on $150,000 bond and Wabaunsee is being held on $500,000 bond.
