02/19/2013

(KTNC) - Crews across Nebraska are getting their snowplows ready for what weather forecasters say is a significant snow system targeting the Midwest later this week.
Brian Miller is a Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Valley.  He says it’s a bit too early to tell how much snowfall the storm system will bring, but early indications show a half-foot or more.  (play audio  :14)
While the exact track of the storm is not yet known, Miller says it will be widespread.  (play audio  :29)
The forecast calls for snow to start Wednesday afternoon and continue through Thursday night.  A winter storm watch is in effect from Wednesday night through Thursday evening.  Miller says they National Weather Service will continue to track the storm.
