( KNZA )-A primary election will be needed in Doniphan County to narrow the field of candidates for Elwood mayor and a position on the Riverside USD 114 school board.
Four candidates are vying for Elwood mayor. They include incumbent George Mitchell Jr, Charles Adkins, Travis Holcomb, and Bill White.
Four candidates are also seeking the District 2 position on the Riverside school board. They include Tina Kimberlin, who was appointed to the position, along with Crystal Hontz, John Kiehnhoff and Christopher Walters.
During the February 26th primary election, the top two vote getters in each race will advance to the April 2nd general election ballot
